Special Alert: Japan Relief

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus!

Many of you have been moved with compassion for the people of Japan since the earthquake and tsunami. World Indigenous Missions is working to raise funds for the relief effort for the hundreds of thousands who have been left homeless. We currently have two missionaries on the ground in Tokyo who are partnering with another organization and with the local churches. They hope to minister to the multitudes of people affected by this natural disaster but they need your help!
They need funds to purchase the following:
FOOD (Rice, canned food, bread, instant noodles, vegetables, fruit, health foods, etc.) DRINKS (Especially water, powdered milk, fruit and vegetable juice, etc.)
BLANKETS, TOWELS

MEDICAL & HEALTH SUPPLIES (Headache, stomach, and general pain relievers, Band-Aids, gauzes, bandages, disinfectant, women's supplies, etc.)
CLOTHING (Including jackets, coats, baby diapers, underwear of various sizes, warm clothes of all sizes, etc.)

All funds will be sent directly to Japan for purchase of the above items.
Checks should be made out to WIM write “Japan Disaster Relief” in the memo and send to: P O Box 310627, New Braunfels, TX 78131-0627.
If you prefer to give online, you may do so at www.worldim.com . Click the donate tab, type in the amount, Select branch number 5000 Disaster Relief.

Yours in His Service,

March News 2011

In February I returned to Veracruz to disburse the remaining funds you so generously sent to help those in need. We helped people pay for furniture, bedding and even bought some chickens. Besides helping with resources I got to preach at several meetings. One Sunday I preached a special service to celebrate a 15 year anniversary of a church, that same day I performed a wedding in the afternoon and then helped a couple renew their vows after 25 years of marriage. It was a great trip. All of the churches in Veracruz are growing. I enjoy meeting new converts. I also especially enjoying watching the older brothers and sisters reach out to disciple the new ones coming in. Jesus said, “Go and make disciples”.
